News in July

Thanks to the staff and volunteers who have been working hard over the last 12 weeks to make a difference for local children, young people, families and vulnerable people. It has been a pleasure to meet new people and we hope that they may visit the centre when we can reopen properly. The staff team are always thinking about how we can support the community in the best way and still keep to the COVID 19 government guidelines. Although Community Centres are able to open from 4/7/2020 the only new sessions that we will be running is the Job Club, which is funded through European Funds, the ESF Community grants provide grants to small organisations in the voluntary and community sector to provide support to unemployed amd inactive individuals to enagage them and move them towards employment through packages of training and support. We are pleased to welcome Pav back as job club coach and Jobeda who is supporting him. Matt and his team are also starting to deliver youth sessions out in the community on Wednesday evenings. All the other activities are not taking place at the moment. We hope everyone remains well and if any local person needs any help or support then please get in touch on 01274 522231.
