Scholemoor October 2021 Update

Is it October already!

We have had such a busy summer with a great team delivering activities and food to over 190 children and young people. The children had a great time and we were really grateful to Summer Unlocked for bringing us Jellyfish Theatre and the Wagon of Dreams and Urban Canvas – Chalk Dance who worked with children and young people to create “Skull – more”.

There was another great session delivered by BMDC with the climbing wall, bouncy castle and lots more. Since September we have almost got back to full delivery of our programme including Buttercups and Wellbeing Café and it has been great to see faces young and old. Having the extra room has also helped and the bingo group are so much happier as they can play without any interruptions.

Staffing has changed a bit we were sad to see both Pav and Jo move onto new roles and while it is great for them they are missed by all.

We are looking forward to new developments including some joint working with People Matters in Leeds to deliver 2 wellbeing sessions a week.
